Deep Ocean Challenges DT Card - 100TH Challenge

Hello everyone how are you all? I'm running late I'm afraid as we've had no internet for 2 days & only just got it back on...........luckily I have been busy so havn't noticed it too much tbh although I am behind in a few things because of it :-(
Ok so we have a brand new challenge over at Deep Ocean Challenges this fortnight & what's more its our 100th Challenge wooooooo pop on over as there are fabulous prizes up this fortnight ;-)
Ok so the theme is a super duper easy one..................
...............told ya, easy peasy ;-) Now mine is actually Easter, well its for an Easter Present but I then want it to sit looking pretty all year round so didnt want it looking Easter-y, yes I'm sure it's a word ;-) Ok lots of pics peeps........
I've gone shabby chic with this as its for my beautiful daughter Natalie...........after Easter it will sit in her bedroom..............well once her room is finished with the building work etc lol....... The image I coloured last week but had no idea what else I was gonna do tbh..........except that it would be for Natalie lol.

Its actually a gift box to house 4 new Walt Disney dvd's, (her fave). As Natalie has never had eggs as she cant eat them...........I know poor girl but she cant eat anything at all :-( This is in place of choccy easter eggs...........she also gets another present but I will show you the packaging for that another time ;-)
The lace around the outisde is from my stash.

The butterfly here is made with a Spellbinders die that I've had for sooooooo long but neglect.......must stop that as this really is gorgeous IRL, love the embossed effect. The centre is a Tim Holtz Pen Nib.........

Both the laces on top, the flowers, the clay heart, the angel & the gorgeous blingy buttons on the lace are all from Live & Love Crafts. The Tulle is the glitter one is OMG so darn pretty IRL. I also added dashings of Gesso everywhere, also from LLC.

The stamp is Magnolia's 'Divine Tilda' which I coloured entirely with distress re-inkers............this is a first for me, sadly my brushes have got a bit naffy so hubster got me some new ones from Amazon at the weekend...... They have just been launched in the UK so got a massive saving. Used them last night for the first time on a couple of different images & they are love LOVE THEM!!

As you can see inside is decorated as well. After Easter the box is going to be used to store Natalie's Hair Clips............she has LOTS of hair products, bobbles, scrunchie's, hair clips & I'm running out of room so this box will be bigger for her clips. Just need get the other storage boxes sorted lol.

Ok so the utterly gorgeous paper is a new one which I brought for another project which I cannot tell you about yet ;-) I got it in 12x12 & 8x8, however I just used some of the 8x8 for this as luckily the box is 8inches wide. Ok so the paper is First Edition 'The Promise', it really is soooooooo pretty & the colours are so soft. The doilies at either end are La La Land Crafts dies.......of course I need hearts as its for my darling daughter. The other butterfly, swirl & the leaves are Magnolia dies & the butterfly edge is a Tim Holtz of my faves but neglected I'm ashamed to say.

Ok I now have a screaming daughter so I had better go now & quickly press publish.

Thanks soooooooo much for stopping bby it means the world.
Lotsa hugs form me to you mmwah

Edited to add if madam Natalie takes too long to settle tonight then I will catch up with emails & messages etc tomorrow. I havnt even checked my emails yet or been on Facebook & it probably wont be tonight now as its 11pm nearly & I need try pursuade my daughter that she should go to sleep........... Mmm good luck Vicky lol.........good job she is so darn gorgeous ;-)

A 60th Birthday

Hello everyone how are you all doing? Hope you have had a lovely weekend. We had a nice one with family as favourite time of the week :-)
Ok so I have a few cards in my drafts that I still havn't blogged, so this week I will try to show them all...........before I forget about them lol.

The one I'm showing today is actually like one I've made before, a LOTV card I made here.
This is for a lady who wanted a card for her Auntie's 60th Birthday back in February & she wanted it like the LOTV card I made only saying something different.
Now I do like each of my cards to be one of a kind, so I did change a few things just to still make this card one of a kind & unique to the recipient ;-)
Can you spot the differences between the 2 cards? I was asked to do the same but instead it needed to say 'Auntie Dilys' & have the number 60 on.

I used the same leaf die, but I changed some of the flowers & also added more flowers on this.
All of the flowers are from Live & Love Crafts, except the 2 larger purple ones.

Ok so the difference here from the other card is I added a Banner cut from a Noor Design die here, I even machine stitched around the banner & the oval ;-) The Name I heat embossed & the numbers got the Shabby White Frantage treatment ;-) Numbers are from my stash.

2 other things that make this card different are I added a larger blingy button to the bows & I added a punched edge using a MF PATP set.

The papers I used are different althought they are from the same LOTV this pad, it really is so so pretty. The pad is LOTV 'Snow Princess' & I machine stitched all the layers.
Seam binding & button are from my stash.

Well that's it from me today, the builders arrived just before 8am & they are starting to build walls. I pushed Natalie's wheelchair in front of the conservatory door so she could see what was going on for a bit........not sure if she understands but I like to think she does........she's a clever lady really ;-)

Ok I'm going now but I want to say a HUGE thank you for putting up with me & my bad blogging, you all really rock. Thank you for your support & lovely comments.
Tatty bye lovelies, take care & enjoy your day

Live and Love Crafts DT Project - Best Of Luck

Hello everyone, I'm here today with a bit of Irish for my Live & Love Crafts DT....... As some of you know Sandra set us DT girls the theme of St Patrick's Day/Luck Of The Irish............well I do like to be challenged its part of crafting.
Now my favourite accent is Irish........OMG I LOVE IT!!!! Seriously......I so wish hubster could speak Irish ooooh swoon ;-) One day I would love to go to Southern Ireland, my dad went over there to help close down one of the pits (mines) there in Tipperary & he said it was the most wonderful place & the people there were the friendliest.
So here is my take on the Irish them this week............
I obviously had to go green as that is the Irish colour & Green for St Patrick's Day. As that day had passed I added a banner saying 'Best Of Luck' which came with the digi image I've used.
Of course I've still gone shabby chic with it all............well come on we have to do that lol.

Now of course luck means a I had to include a clover & as I didnt have one, well I made one with the clay hearts. If you look at a Clover or a Shamrock the leaves are like an upside down a Shamrock is a 3 Leaf Clover but the Clover that is thought to bring lots of luck is indeed the 4 Leaf Clover :-)

The one thing I had to include was indeed the Miners Lamp (ok so it's a lantern but ssshhhh).......... I have one of these sitting in my living room, with engraving on for my dad which he left for my hubster when he passed away.
Luck of the Irish originated with the Miners, as the miners were thought to be the wealthiest. Although the American Irish term of 'Luck' is happier, positive thinking............which will lead onto the picture below this verse I got free off Pinterest from someone who made it free for people to print off. It basically reads this..........
May your trouble's be less
and your blessing's be more
and nothing but happiness
come through your door..........
Of course I had to add a gorgeous image next to the verse & what better image did I find but this gorgeous lady from La La Land Crafts & she is called 'Irish Marci' & I coloured her with distress inks & markers. Her lips went a bit funny & I ran out of time to colour another image in :-(
I added lots of flowers & as the verse had 'Come through your door' I thought I would include the Melissa Francis resin 'Birdhouse' which says 'Home' on it......
The dies used for leaves are from Noor Design UK & are......

Of course I added 2 very gorgeous laces, a doily, pearls & pearl string & dashings of Gesso here & there just to add to the shabby chic-ness of it lol.

Well that's it from me, hope I passed with my take on the Irish Theme this week, tbh I quite enjoyed it........ya gotta love a challenge ;-)

Enjoy your weekend lovelies & if you want to enjoy it better, well you know what you gotta do dont you............go shopping at LIVE & LOVE shop for all your vintage & shabby chic craftiness ;-)

Lotsa hugs Vicky xxx

Noor Design UK DT Project

Hello everyone a scheduled post from me. I'm here today with some Easter Goodness ;-) Yep I'm here with my Noor Design DT Project & again I've not made a card.
Yes I've decorated one of the MDF Easter Set's........I absolutely LOVED doing this. I actually used Maja Design paper to decorate it but hubster brought me some goodies from Noor Design UK for Mother's Day...... Well I got the beautiful Spring A5 Paper pad & well.........I ended up starting again & decorating it in that as the paper really is soooo pretty. So my set is decorated front & back lol.
Anyhoo's less chatter & lets show you what I did.
I've made this for my daughter Natalie so gone down the Shabby Chic route. I used the Vintage Wood paper pad at the back for staging as it didnt show up as well on the white background & I thought black was too harsh.

I've added Chipboard Art at the top of the Egg. I first painted it white then inked it with a shell pink ink pad.

I added Craft Art Flower Border across the eggs, I painted them white & then added Pearl Dots to the centre of each flower with a Pearl Pen.
Along the bottom I cut 2 borders into single flowers & attached a flower along the bottom. They were painted in white then the flower part in pink, I then added pale green pearls to each centre. The paper has hints of green in so I tried adding little hints of it in here & there.

On the Bunny I added a Pearl for the eye, tbh I got this idea from my fellow teamie here 'Keeley' & also hubster said she needed an eye lol. Thank you Keeley for the inspiration sweetie.
You can just see I added Chicken Wire to the eggs & bunny using a mask & structure paste. I also used a stamp from my stash for some of it.

This is the back that I actually decorated first lol, you can see more Chicken Wire with the structure paste. I also went all around the edges of the whole MDF Set with structure paste.......lurve that stuff!!!
The paper I've used on the back is Maja Design Vintage Spring Basics...........I lurve the one I used for the bottom I think its one of my favourite sheets. I distressed the bottom & added structure paste over a chicken wire mask. All the flowers, lace, pom-pom trim, pearls & feathers............cus you gotta have feathers where chicks are lol....are from Live & Love Crafts.

Well thats from me, hope you like this Easter I really enjoyed making this.
Take care & enjoy your day lovelies.
Lotsa hugs Vicky xxx

I also just want to add I'm sorry I'm being a bad blogger at the min, the building work commenced on Monday for Natalie's extension & well it's been a week of headaches. However the builders have caught up well & we are having the concrete delivered today for the floor & then next week they start building the walls......... I will show you some pics over the weekend of it........especially Natalie's bedroom wall............well there is a hole in it!!

The products used can be ordered in the Noor! Design U.K. webshop:
